The Appeal

The Appeal by John Grisham

What happens after a monumental verdict is handed down in a water contamination case? That's right, the appeal process starts. Written in typical Grisham style, this book doesn't dissapoint. Twists, turns and some predictability make this a great read.

Two small town married lawyers get the verdict that only comes around once in a life time. They represent Jeanette Baker, widowed and childless due to cancer caused by illegal dumping by a large manufacturing company. The jury hands down a $41 million verdict and that's when the story really starts.

I highly recommend this book. It's a quick read, but not at all hollow.
